Driving Tours
Whatever direction you go there is lots to see and do!

Head north through Headford and enjoy the quaint village of Cong and perhaps pay a visit to Ashford Castle. From Cong explore the lakelands area or Clonbur, Finney and passing by Lough Nafooey head into the hills of Connemara. From Maam you may like to stop for a walk in Maméan before heading back to Galway through Oughterard where you have the option of visiting Aughnanure Castle before arriving back in Galway.

Head South via Kilcolgan turning off for Kinvara and Ballyvaughan. Visit the Ailwee Caves or head round Black Head to Fanore Beach. Take a trip as far as The Cliffs of Moher before returning to Galway via Lisdoonvarna and the Burren Smokery through Gort and Coole Park or Yeats Tower.

Head west for a full Connemara tour through Moycullen on the N59. Turn left at Maam Cross and enjoy the beauty of the Maam Valley as you proceed towards Leenane.
At Leenane, visit the Sheep and Wool museum or take a trip with Killary ferries on Ireland’s only Ffjord. Have lunch at Kylemore Abbey and spend the afternoon at Connemara National Park. Return to Galway via the Inagh Valley or proceed to Clifden and return via the N59.

Heading west on coast road – enjoy the views over Galway Bay as you head through Spiddal to Carraroe and Lettermore. Visit Pearse’s cottage in Rosmuc before heading back towards Oughterard. Visit Glengowla Mines and Brigit’s Garden before heading back into Galway.
