The Menlo Park Hotels Golf Social Club was established in 2007. The inaugural outing was for the now well established Memorial Cup named after 'Paddy Francis', the founder of the Menlo Park Hotel. Initially comprising of 22 members, over the years the clubs committee have continued to develop the ever popular golfing social club and their annual outings. The club now boasts 40 plus members of all ages & walks of life and has more signing up every year.
The club also offers Galway Hospice a unique source of fundraising, as they are the only club to hold scheduled annual events in their name.
The committee which comprises of, Myles Crowe, Oliver Geraghty, P.J. Ryan and Joseph Mooney, have worked hard over the years making the golf social club what it is today. It is very well organised and as competitive as some members may be, there is always a big emphasis put on being out there to have the 'craic' as well. So no matter what your handicap may be, every outing is balanced in order to accommodate everyone from the beginner to the next Rory McIlroy.
There are 4 scheduled outings every year, with the courses varying each time. Each event is sponsored to allow ALL raised proceeds to go directly to Galway Hospice. After each event our own Bar Beoga becomes the 19th hole for the night. With the presentation of prizes, the very popular raffle, live music and finger food - the post-golf outing nights have never failed to deliver in entertainment.
If you wish to sign up for one or even all of this years Golf Social Club outings just click on the highlighted committee members name above to contact Myles directly.
New Members are always welcome, as are once off participants & hotel guests,
There is NO membership fee.
