The Hotel was opened by Paddy Francis and his son John on the 12th of June 1998 and was built on land that the family lived on for many generations. With great history surrounding the area many of the conference suites are named after local characters. The Hotel has grown to an 81 bedroom property over the years with continuous investment into the hotel, including our most recent renovations in early 2024, our new 'SIGNATURE' rooms. 

The hotel is always at the hub of the local community, and our national and international guests mingle with our local clientele in our busy P. Francis & Son Bar and Bistro.
