Since opening our doors in 1998, the Menlo Park Hotel has grown a little more with every year — and 2026 marks our biggest transformation yet. Over the past year, we've added eleven brand new Signature style bedrooms, extended our much-loved P. Francis & Son Bar & Bistro, opened two new conference rooms, and given the exterior side of the hotel a fresh new look.
It's all part of the same story that started with Paddy Francis and his son John — continuous investment, real Galway hospitality, and a hotel that keeps growing with the community around it.

11 New Signature Bedrooms
We've added eleven more of our popular Signature style bedrooms, bringing even more guests the extra space, comfort and style our recent room upgrades introduced in 2024.
Each Signature room is finished with premium furnishings, airconditioning and thoughtful touches designed for both leisure guests exploring Galway and the Wild Atlantic Way, and corporate travellers visiting NUIG, University Hospital Galway, or the city for business.
An Extended P. Francis & Son Bar & Bistro
Our bar and bistro has always been the heart of the hotel — where our guests, locals, and visitors from further afield all come together. We've extended the space to give everyone more room to relax, whether you're settling in after a day on the road, meeting friends for a drink, or grabbing a bite from our menu. Same warm welcome, same great food and drink — just more space to enjoy it in. In line with this we have also launched our new bistro and cocktail menu along with some refreshing summer specials.

Two New Conference & Event Suites
To meet the growing demand for meetings, conferences and celebrations in Galway, we've opened two brand new conference suites. As with our existing event spaces, many of which carry the names of local characters and landmarks, these new rooms continue that tradition of tying our hotel to the history and character of the area. Whether you're planning a corporate meeting, a conference, or a family milestone, we now have even more flexible space to make it happen.
A Refreshed Exterior
The outside of the hotel has had a makeover too. We've given the exterior a fresh, modern finish — so that from the moment you arrive, the Menlo Park Hotel looks as good as it feels on the inside. It's a fitting new face for a hotel that's been part of the Galway community for over 25 years.
